  • Slow day, only 317 unread emails from work this morning
  • Meeting at the school this morning so I'm WFH today
  • This week is so weird with work starting on Tuesday
  • I've resisted getting on Tinder for a long time and since getting on I realized that was a good choice

Did not sleep enough.

Early meeting canceled.

Next scheduled meeting coming up.

Hungry. But need to get some blood drawn to check my liver enzymes. Guess I can wait to eat until after that. The GI doc said I didn't have to fast for this test but I might as well.

Schipperke wasn't feeling great this morning. I'll check on him at lunch. He probably ate something he shouldn't eat. They tend to do that, but we don't give him opportunities so it's probably a leaf or grass or a weed that he ate on a walkabout.

-slept like poo
-kids moving slow this am after an evening of dove hunting
-labs are also dead from hunting. Didn't care we had to skip our walk
-roofers coming to look at leak
-job interview later. It's a pretty awesome gig so I hope it goes well

Retired ... so I have the luxury of starting each day slowly.
Caffeinated.

Breakfast.
Watching multiple YouTube videos on epic failures of Manning and Bama. Epic.
Watched highlights of the UTEP/Utah State game. We should cruise.
Grocery store in a few minutes.
No plans beyond that.

Finally got around to calling the Moberly Police Dept to file a report regarding the fact that the nursing home won't give me Tanya's jewelry (including her Aggie ring). They told me that no criminal laws have been broken, it isn't considered theft, and it's a civil matter. I asked them if the nursing home was required to establish a chain of custody. They told me that any requirements would be with the Department of Senior Services and not the city. They were absolutely no help.

I'm going to call the MO Attorney General's Office, but I'm not expecting much. As I see it, if I ever want Tanya's ring for Benny, I'm going to have to lawyer up...

I have a feeling that the nursing home knows all of this and that's why they won't call me back. Stealing from the dead must be a regular thing for them.

It's an 85 mile round trip, and the person I need to speak with works daytime Monday through Friday. I'd have to take off from work, and I missed 6.5 days when Tanya died. I've debated driving up there.

Will probably file my complaint with the Attorney General's office and then show up there and feel like I have some leverage.

Interesting mix of technology. I had to download the complaint form as a .pdf file, fill it out, print it, sign it, and then snail mail it to a PO box in Jefferson City.

Beautiful weather to sit outdoors on my balcony, but there's a huge limb that makes it completely unusable. I put in a work order in July to have it removed. I need to call them a third time about it. Frustrating.
