It's pretty simple…you either tap to pay or insert the card. Then you sign or use your PIN.

I don't understand the people who are mystified by this. They've been out for like 25 years.

Exactly. Self check out is awesome until people who are dumber than a box of dog **** try to use it.

It's shocking to me how many people at Costco struggle to get through self checkout without calling for help. By the 5th trip, you should remember they don't take AMEX or Discover.

I tried to use cash recently. Total was $13.13

I gave the cashier a Ten and a Five plus 2 dimes. She gave me back my dimes and $1.87 in change

I'm not even sure they take MasterCard in store anymore.

Hmmm not sure about your proclivities... but I am not interested in whatever they are.

These bills were printed in the 70s.

There's nothing queer about the currency of the good old US of A

I thought it was queerer than a three-dollar bill? Or queerer than a football bat. Anyways. I just wanted to type queer. Because it is a funny word, and I have a lot of good 80's and 90's childhood memories using the word queer.

You can still get them at the bank. They're great for tipping at casinos if you're tipping for 2.

I believe it changed when $2 bills were printed once again.

No, because the saying is "queer as a $3 bill"

And its a common misconception that they stopped making them

They did quit from the mid 60s to mid 70s……thus my tie to the term. Not exactly common currency, either way.

I'm a few years younger but definitely your generation. It has always been queer as a $3 bill.

Random $2 bill story.

I was at HEB in Houston and Billy Gibbons was checking out in front of me. He had a +/- 50yr old musician looking guy helping him out.

He tipped the sacker, a non Anglo-Saxon teenager $20 worth of folded $2 and left.

I asked the kid if he knew who that was, of course he didn't, so I explained and he recognized a couple of ZZ Top songs.

He then said "whew, I'm glad. I thought I was just some old weird dude who wanted me to come to his car and talk about Jesus and maybe touch my butt"

PS, I'm in my 40's and it's "queer as $3 bill"..
