Happy Easter! He is Risen!


-Slept terribly. Oh well.
-Bagel with salmon for bf.
-Picked upStarbs before church.
-Church - My daughter's friend came with us and plans to next week as well.
-Put a sweet potato concoction in the crockpot.
-Gonna rest
-Late lunch at my mommas
-Clean top of cabinets at rent house this afternoon.

Saw that Shipley's was open today, picked up donuts for the first time in years.

Plain glazed still solid. All the other varieties were just awful.
Shipley's used to be great

Slept well, just not enough

More rain yesterday was welcome as are the cooler temps

Was gonna meet a TexAgger later to sell some storage containers but his plan to buy them got vetoed so I'll try again

Kitties and puppies wanted a lot of attention this morning

Slept very badly. I was on-call and kept dreaming I was getting paged. Then my on-call shift ended and I overslept. I need a new job.

Beautiful cloudless day going. 36F this morning, and it's warmed up to 56F on our way to a forecast 58F. Supposed to stay cool until Wednesday. I'll take it. The average high is still only 63F, but we've had lots of days in the 80s (and a few in the 90s).

Going grocery shopping at Gerbes in a little while. Benny applied for a job there Friday. Hy-Vee is closer (and nicer). I can't afford to shop there, but I think it would be a better first job for Benny. He says they won't hire you if you aren't 18.

EDIT - Benny says Gerbes already rejected him. I'm sorry to hear that.

Just one section. Now that whole side is done. Just started the other and it's twice as long.

I still smell it but hopefully this will help a ton.

May leave the windows open overnight until tomorrow evening since it's supposed to be cool out

This part has been the hardest. Essentially it's a "V" and tons of crap in there. Makes it hard to clean. This $8 set of brushes has been great - I've been using that rubber and plastic straight edge to get stuff out of the cracks.

I didn't take a photo, but SOS pads for the win!

I didn't even try to start using them until I was on the other section of cabinets and I finished that section in less time than it took me to do the smaller section.

Now I would never use them on the front of cabinets, but this is where nobody would ever see. But I don't even think it messed them up.

I did have a little bit of soapy water. But for the most part just sos. I may go back and do the first section to see if any more comes off.

I do plan on doing a vinegar/water wipe down when completely done. Once I was done I had put some orange smelling degreaser stuff on top to hopefully help with smell.
