Couldn't sleep last night and now I'm tired. Probably because I took a nap yesterday. I love a nap but unless I'm going to be out late, they are counterproductive.

Upper 30s this morning when I bought my coffee. Gas went up another TWENTY CENTS overnight, and I need to fillup in a couple of days. Ouch.

Supposed to have a cool day (upper 50s) and then warm up tomorrow.

Aggies play in San Marcos tonight. I posted this yesterday on the baseball board, but it's the only college town that I know of with poor public schools. I have a friend who works for SWT and commutes from San Antonio rather than live in San Marcos.

Do you consider Lubbock a "college town?" It has a quarter million residents.

Forgot to set my alarm last night

Woke up at 6am without the alarm. A little later than usual. Still had time to get everything done and make the 7am meeting

Nothing went according to plan yesterday. Today is going mildly according to plan

Took a walk last night and it was glorious. Perfect weather

My son says the new pictures of the dark side of the moon from Artemis are incredible. Guess I need to check those out

If Lubbock is not a college town due to its population size (est 279K), then by this logic what would you consider BCS (est 280k)?

I don't think Bryan really is a college town, at least not to the extent that College Station is. It's a town that's close to a college. That's why I bought my house there when I worked for A&M. To get away from the college (to a degree).

College Station is now a MASSIVE college town. I remember when it had 35k residents, but I would argue that virtually all of the growth since is directly related to A&M. When I started at A&M (August 1990), I was told that Target was the largest private employer in town. I'm sure that's not the case any more, but I suspect something research-related has the honor at this point.

But we can call Lubbock a college town. Tceh has a huge influence there.,, and they named themselves Tceh.
