The Naked Gun movies were hilarious. Apparently Liam Neeson is in talks to star in the new one. I don't know what to think of that but I hope they stick with the same style of comedy as the old movies.

Leslie Nielsen was pure gold in these movies.

One of my favorite gags was the way he acted when the bad guy would throw a pillow or towel at him. He would yell like it was a brutal attack.

If the Zucker brothers and Abraham were doing it, there could be a chance it's good since they were so great at Airplane!, Kentucky Fried Movie, Top Secret!, etc. Unfortunately, it appears they have no involvement in this.

I watched all 6 of those police squad episodes recently. They were hilarious and you could see some of the gags they used in the movies. It's such a shame they canceled that show so quickly. ABC had the stupidest reason for canceling. They were worried that people would have to pay attention to get the jokes. From everything I've read, the audiences loved the show. It was just an example of a network being completely out of touch with their audience.

If you hire a great comedic actor, you lose one of the main things that Leslie Nielsen brought to the role. He plays it almost entirely straight, which Liam Neeson has also proven he can do in comedic roles.

It could stll be an awful movie, but given who is involved with it I think im interested.

Still would rather people just make new movies, and create new ideas, but thats not how Hollywood works

Whoever made the trailer started off prettty weak and I was worried they didnt really get the Naked Gun series at all. BUT I know Akiva, from Lonely Island, was directing it and I KNOW he gets Naked Gun so I was confused.

I was trying to find a clip and found this tweet, but this bit at the end is classic Naked Gun.
