Not sure how to possibly narrow it down, but I enjoyed Bonfire last night. In particular:
- The chills when the stack erupted in flames
- Seeing scores of new ags making lifelong friends through what they experienced while building
- Being part of what seemed like a record crowd
- Meeting the gals that are keeping the Greenpot tradition alive
- Seeing old friends (most notably Token and Thomas)

Can't wait for next year! Can't wait to hear what you got out of it -- both from burn night, but also from BTHOB!

-My parents seeing Bonfire for the first time since they were at A&M
-Seeing all the chiefs clean-shaven and only recognizing their pot
-Dion's speech
-Realizing the Reds can't sub for yell leaders without a lot of practice
-Seeing the proposal & axe handle archway
-Naming the new kids, seeing the look on their faces & watching them walk laps

Everything was great. Amazing crowd this year, too.

The fact that you guys did such a good job on burn night that The Eagle, which has been editorially opposed to Bonfire going back to a decade prior to 1999, found nothing to write about.

It ran a picture, but without incidents like injuries, drunken students, violations of burn bans, etc., the local fish wrapper elected not to write an article.

I agree, there was a record crowd for Student Bonfire. I talked with some of the Redpots a few days after Bonfire and they said around 8,000-9,000 were in attendance. I have two favorites about Aggie Bonfire 2008 and can't decide which I like more; either when the stack was lit or when the outhouse fell.
