I still have my grodes from 99, keep them in a sealed bag in the trunk of my car as they will stink up any room. They still smell like stack to me and one sniff brings me back in a second.

I keep mine in a sealed bag in my closest, they smell like the putrid swamp we had to jump in to push the truck in which we were riding out.

I probably tossed mine before the end of fish year. That was one of those "traditions" that was pretty much pointless and I never understood.

My '99 grodes burned in the Outhouse of Bonfire '03.

I burned my grodes in 94 after re-build and started new grodes as a deadpot. Still have pieces of them, but they got washed at some point.

Hey Hagen, when did the 7-11 shmocks start?

A brief history of the schmock, I will use the line I know, for historical reference.

I believe they were started when Stinky (and his brothers) were active as he worked there at the time and following that as well. He passed his on to Booger, who passed it on to Weasel, then to me. That would mean they started around Bonfire 1991.

If they still exist, I'm sure they smell really nice.

Stinky would often go straight from Stack to 7-11 and vice versa. His name was well deserved. Anyone still talk to him or to Gene Moffet the Beer Prophet?

I haven't heard from either Stinky or Gene Moffit in several years. They had the greatest parties. And could Stinky swing an axe handle...

I still have it all. Grodes were washed after last Bonfire in 99...had cow flop on them (don't ask) so HAD to be washed. The pot and pliers are all in the garage. Considered donating the sets of pliers I have to SB. A school teacher really has no use for pliers taped to a dog chain. =) The husband likes to kick the pot around in the garage just to tick me off and show off his "mad" soccer skills...which he does not have.

Good times.

I gave my pliers to some paramedic in '99 and never got them back. I tried to get them from Cushing Library in '02, but I was told that everything was still being held for evidence.

I still use my pot.

my grodes made it down the trash chute in Aston hall sometime after we oiled up the perimeter poles in '99 - too much of a fire hazard to keep around!
