Separate auto accidents claim 2 in Brazos Valley

At least two people were killed Saturday in separate accidents on Brazos Valley roads.
A 10 p.m. crash in eastern Brazos County left at one male dead, the Department of Public Safety said. At least one other person was injured in the wreck on Texas 30 near Bird Pond Road, but more details were not immediately available.
Earlier Saturday, a Texas A&M student died when his pickup drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with another truck in Burleson County, DPS troopers said.
James Todd Martin, 24, of Corpus Christi was driving a 2000 Ford truck east on F.M. 60, just east of Snook, at about 11 a.m.
His pickup drifted into the westbound lane and struck a 2003 Dodge truck towing a trailer, according to a DPS report.
Martin died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, accident investigators said.
The driver of the Dodge, Robert Miller of Richmond, was not injured.
