thanks, and keep the tradition alive i can't wait to work on the bonfire when i'm a student, i think if yall continue to build it then it will become bigger and bigger,with more and more people.. one of the people who got killed in the bonfire lived in our town and her sister used to baby sit us, and i get the impression that she would want it to go on, maybe one day it will return to campus and be as big as it used to be.

Do what I did... I graduated, live in Houston now, and am up in the woods and at the chicken every weekend during bonfire season. It ain't that hard.

Ditto, djx. I'm in Victoria and have made it up for 3 days worth of Bonfire work this season. If you make it a priority and treat it like vacation, you can get back to College Station quite frequently.

Speaking of big blue broken things, has it made it to the case house to become un-broken yet?

sadly not... I ventured from the house yesterday with it, but then realized that i only have front brakes on my pickup. Dwight's brakes are non existant on the trailer so I figured it woudnt be safe to drive across town without brakes.

how big is the bonfire this year going to be compared to ones in years past( when it was on campus) 1/3

In '03 and '04, the stacks were about 40 ft tall including the outhouse.

The tallest one ever was in 1969: 109 feet tall. Afterwards, the university imposed a 55-ft height limit, but it wasn't enforced.
