Since when are people not allowed to express their opinions on Texags? Isn't this what this forum is about?? You can give me all the warnings you want to. I don't care. It will not stop me for expressing my opinions. Texags is all about everyone expressing their own opinions. You have no right to give me a warning for expressing my opinions. Yes, my opinion was not asked in a certain thread, but where and when on Texags is an opinion ever asked? GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE STAFF.

1. We did say that you could not state your opinion. We told you that you were more than welcome to start a thread stating your opinion on that subject. However, we often clean up threads that are "hijacked" if the original content has a point or merit and the discussion turns into an argument that has nothing to do with the spirit of the thread.

2. Bonfire is a very special event and a very emotional event for those of us that were at A&M or lived in B/CS in 1999 and had to look at that fallen stack of logs for months. Your opinion was causing a thread to take a very nasty turn, so we cleaned it up. We not only removed yours, but every post that fell into the argument. The warning was for ANYONE that tried to change that thread again.

3. This is a privately run web site and we have the right to moderate, warn, and edit as we see fit to keep it civil.

sounds like all you have to do is start your own thread with your opinion and you are golden.

Umm...did you actually read the post they edited? They told you that you were more than welcome to start a separate thread on the subject, but they didn't want the other thread to get hijacked.

How about you calm down, use some reading comprehension, and then come back when you can post more than shrill whining.

You Aggiesgirl and Idy participated in what is known as "thread hijacking," i.e. taking over a thread by posting comments which were not on topic for that thread. Staff is not censoring you, you may post your opinions all you want, provided you do so in appropriate threads, i.e. those where your opinion and the discussion that ensues are on topic for that thread.

So, if you wish to continue in your "discussion" of yesterday, all you need to do is simply start a thread of your own and STAY ON TOPIC, as well as not violate any of the forum rules for this site. All of this was clearly explained in the comment left by staff at the point in the other thread where you were guilty of thread hijacking. That comment is quoted below should you wish to re-read it.

Should you still be unclear as to why the bulk of your posts were deleted from that thread, I suggest you do a google search on proper net etiquette and forum/thread hijacking. It will be both enlightening, and educational.

This thread is titled staff so I would hope that you would all discuss that. I prefer one more in the shape of a cane.

voice your opinion all you want, but dont use it to provoke an argument for the sake of hearing your self talk against a sea of oppostiton. Thats what turns an easy opinion thread into heated arguements.

They pretend to hate Dr. Pepper just to induce a lot of flame posts. Very unpopular position around here.
