How long do you want to ignore this user?
when I was at the Bonfire memorial the other day, I was wondering if this young man was ever recommended for recognition by the United States in the form of a civilian medal. I am aware that he was awarded a medal from the Eagle Scouts of America, but was he ever recommended for any others? im not sure what would be applicable, The Presidential Medal of Freedom comes to mind. If he didn't deserve it, who does?

WL08, Tim was recognized by the Boy Scouts of America posthumously with the Medal of Merit and the Spirit of the Eagle award. His old Boy Scout troop in Bartlett, TN built a cabin dedicated to him at Camp Roy C. Manchester in Kentucky where he went to summer camp several times. The Beta club at Germantown HS in TN named their annual service award after him(he was the president his senior year) The Tennessee PTA gives a scholarship in his name each year(he was a student rep on the PTSA Executive Board at his school for three years). The Boy Scout Council in Memphis named the 1999 class of Eagle Scouts after him following many requests from scouts and scouters. In addition to the Bonfire Scholarship(there is one in each of the 12's names) there is a Presidential Endowed Scholarship and several Mechanical Engineering scholarships in his name at Texas A&M. Any additional donations to the Texas A&M Foundation in his name should be to the ME fund.

Although a great deal of honor and respect has already been paid to Tim and his memory, there could never be any due amount given to this young man from his bravery and courage.
