I had this vague memory of a radio commercial that I caught on tape when I was younger...
and I found it...
in 1996, and other years I'm sure, there was an event known as "Quadfest" to promote Bonfire. The commercial was an invitation to Gumbo and a gathering on the quad, and an invitation to greet the FTAB before they marched across campus to Bonfire.
Anyone with any more info, or memories of Quadfest please chime in...
Not only are we studing and reversing the negative things that must be corrected for Bonfire to continue, but there are also positive things that we must perpetuate. We can study the things that worked for the on-campus Bonfire and adapt them to the post '99 fires.
In the next few days I'll run this commercial by the reds...if nothing else, to spark an idea or two...
oh, and if anyone knows a way to get a recording off of a cassette to an mp3 or wav file please let me know...
