I saw a video of Dr. David Falk kicking this idea around and it really got my nerd juices flowing.
The idea is each face of the dice would correspond to one of the 22 letters of old Hebrew, and you would simply remove 2 of the least used letters from each dice. The white dice would be the first letter of the word and two black dice would be the other two. You could effectively reconstruct vast swathes of Hebrew words with this arrangement. You would roll the dice when asking a question, and if you got nonsense you would effectively treat that as a no.
I know its just an idea and there's no hard evidence to support it, but the idea of the Levites being the OG d20 slingers makes the nerd in me very happy.
