Checking to see if anyone has any recommendations on YouTube for Christian content be it channel subscriptions, podcasts, clips, music videos, theology, history, etc. YouTube is our go to channel surfing app of choice and I'm wanting to be more intentional in the content I consume.

As a side note, Minno has some pretty good videos on YT for kids and it's from the same creator as VeggieTales.

Anything by N T Wright that is not AI generated. Fantastic theologian in my opinion.

Ready to Harvest. Best overview of all the denominations and histories of christianity. Bible professor. Very cut and dry and unopinionated. Comment sections are always full of, 'I am X denomination and this is the best explanation I've seen of it'. I really enjoy his stuff. Helps put church history and theological splintering in historical/church context.

10 Minute Bible Hour. Guy just goes around letting various pastors/preachers of denominations speak and explain themselves. Great three hour series with an orthodox priest. Another series where they interview a 100% prison focused ministry.

Lord of Spirits, Orthodox Ethos and Patristic Nectar are all very high quality orthodox christian channels that are all led by priests not just a dude with a microphone.

Harmony is a channel doing great content on christian themes as well as the lives of the saints. Very high quality editing and different art direction than most youtubers. I really enjoy them. Its run by former monks. Of all the channels I've recommended this is most movie making/storytelling focused versus dude with a microphone.

Trisagion Films is in the same category as harmony. Saints, christian topics. Mostly watch them for the saints.

Watch about a 100 hours of this content and I'll see you at catechesis in the fall.

I think Harmony is probably the best mix of content, time to watch and engrossment. Most videos are 20 minutes. If you watch their stuff, you will improve your christian walk and christian understanding, period. Their videos on saints are convicting. Their subject videos like what is theosis and the early history of icons are incredible.

I like Trent Horn a lot. He has a pretty strong grasp of rhetoric and Catholic beliefs and combines those quote well.

Inspiring Philosophy and Gavin Ortlund are also pretty strong apologetics.

I've been enjoying Wesley Huff's content on YouTube. He became well-known after his debunking of Billy Carson which got him a spot on Joe Rogan's podcast.

It's not precisely a theology channel, but one YouTube channel that has blessed me immensely is called "Sergio & Rhoda in Israel".

It is hosted by a Christian couple living in Israel. They highlight key Biblical sites, the latest archeological finds, and give you a look at Israel that is the next best thing to being there.

They are winsome as a couple. He's Israeli and she is of Arab descent - both followers of Christ. It gives a really unique perspective.

Having visited Israel, there's nothing quite like seeing the land/the sites… it makes the Biblical texts come to life in a way that would be difficult otherwise. Sergio and Rhoda do a phenomenal job capturing this and give you a behind the scenes look while examining Biblical texts. One of my all time favorite channels!!

Terry Young did a lengthy, but very 'listenable' series on the History of the Early Church which is pretty excellent, and can be found on youtube (I listened on Spotify).

I like the Bema podcast, especially the first 15 or so episodes that cover the patriarchs. I learned a lot about the OT that we don't learn in Western society due to our separation from the Jewish culture. I am pretty knowledgeable about the Bible, so learning so much new information was very entertaining and enlightening.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.

Desiring God (John Piper) puts out many great resources (sermons, articles, podcasts). The Ask Pastor John podcast has been going on for over a decade and has addressed so many important questions for Christians and has been so helpful in my walk with Christ.

Desiring God podcasts:
Solid Joys (daily devotional)
Light and Truth (sermons)
Ask Pastor John (Q&A)

The Knowing Faith podcast is very good as well.

Huff and Ortlund's creed should be "The Father, The Son, and the Holy Scriptures". It would be more honest. I would love to see a debate between the two and both of them default to "well it's just the plain reading of the text" lol.

Ortlund is unapologetically Protestant but I'd like to think
his central message of living out the Gospel supersedes theological differences in Christianity.

Considering the Venn diagram of Texags users, I'll share his Christian lens breakdown of the LOTR trilogy that I enjoyed

So many great suggestions.

My wife just started a podcast called Get Honest about living an authentic life with Jesus. I'm obviously biased but I think it's good. She's been in the word almost 50 years and has walked with the Lord through a lot of difficult things. You'd also be supporting a fellow Ag. It good for men, but I know her testimony hits particularly home with women if your wives are looking for something.
