Separating from the politics angle being discussed on the politics board, I am convinced that Charlie Kirk was also targeted because he was the most affective evangelist of his generation. This assassination wasn't just the result of a difference in politics, this is a result of spiritual warfare. He made it cool and masculine to reject the temptations of serving your desires in the secular world and rather devote yourself to serving Christ. I know so many of my sons generation were inspired by him. He encouraged a generation to return to a life founded of God's truth and was incredibly affective at sharing the Good News. In pains me to say, he would often get the better of Michael Knowles when they had their frequent Protestant v Catholic debates. Nonetheless, you knew they likely shared a cigar, a beer, and a good laugh after each one.
Charlie Kirk died a martyrs death, and "blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church,". From the Catholic perspective, martyrdom fully cleanses the soul of sin and allows for a direct admission to Heaven. And from Christ own words,
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. -John 3:16
As such, I, in my own humble opinion, believe Charlie Kirk is alive and has entered that eternal life in Heaven. Charlie Kirk, pray for us and pray for our country.
