A woman has files suit against the Blue Angles for " state-sanctioned acoustic torture" of her cat.

Lauren Ann Lombardi filed a federal lawsuit July 21 accusing the Blue Angels of infringing on her First Amendment rights. The complaint names Navy Cdr. Adam Bryan; L. Ben Bushong, the public affairs officer for the Blue Angels; and an unnamed social media administrator for the squadron, as defendants.
The lawsuit states that the Blue Angels perform shows in the Seattle area near Puget Sound every August using F/A-18E/F Super Hornet jets "with the subtlety of a military occupation" while reaching speeds of upwards of 700 mph, which produces extreme decibel levels.

We use to camp on the perdales river many years ago sometimes right after sunup 2 or 3 jets would come screaming up the river at fairly low level. Scare the crap out of you not knowing their coming.

The story is her cat was old and in her last days. I can understand caring about one's pet, but there was no way for the Blue Angels to know.

At the same time, apparently what got her blocked from posting to them on whatever social media platform she was using was her rather colorful language.

There is already at least one billboard up in Seattle backing up her claims/demands.

I thought you might have lived in the subdivision at the south end of the runway. I lived close to there and there was a nice park with pecan trees that had about a mile trail I would run to and through most days I wasn't flying or sitting alert.

I get that you could still hear them, but she could just stay in the house. I have dogs and cats, always have and I get that it's sad when you're losing one, but this is ridiculous.

Saw the Blue Angels two weeks ago in Pensacola. We were on the beach, they flew parallel to the beach in front of us, about 400-600 feet away. I was disappointed how "un"-loud they were. I guess they're ordered to go soft in that situation.

When I was a kid, my Dad flew F-4 Phantoms.

Every so often, some little old lady would call the base commander and complain about the jet noise.

Standard answer was, "Lady , that's the sound of freedom"
