Why?

2 dead, 3 wounded according to the AP with the shooter being shot by responding police.

The shooting was in the "valet area" of the casino.

They didn't say if the shooter was counted among the wounded or not.

The shooter still has not been identified, at least officially.

I've stayed there a few times and I like GSR. It's nice and usually good value for money.

There are all kinds of folks who come to Reno for various events and it would be easy to walk in uncontested and head straight to the casino floor. We've been there several times when there were motorcycle gang gatherings, most frequently - The Mongols.

When I saw that it was at 7:25 am at the Valet stand, I assumed it was more some sort of personal beef.

But now that they're reporting 3 killed, 3 wounded, maybe it was some guy who wanted to go out in a blaze of glory.

It looks like several lives were probably saved due to his gun not working properly.

Update from the bachelor party guys hometown news in Thousand Oaks. Apparently they all graduated HS together in 2010 according to the article.
