The media and dems have been so inept against Trump they have turned him into a monster of mythic proportions in their minds. And any action is justifiable in fighting against a monster, including creating your own.

Wishing death on Trump and his supporters, the Jan 6 persecutions/prosecutions, rigged voting. Nothing is too far for the Dems, no position too extreme.

The idea that this Platner clown can win a democratic primary in Maine shows there are absolutely no steps the Dems think are too far. And no steps they will not take when they next take power. They are totally unhinged.

As a republican, seeing this vote in Maine is a sad signpost for our country's future.

He was essentially running unopposed and still only got 76% of the primary vote, with 20 percent of the Dem-communists basically giving him a no confidence vote by voting for no-longer-running Janet Mills.

Collins has started hitting him, going after his older male demographic (and he's only going to continue to bleed out with female voters). It's a delicate balance because she doesn't want the Dems to dump him prior to July 13th to be replaced with a more appealing/less nazi type.

Polls showing him close or winning are ultimately good news for Americans who care, as such.

John Fetterman remains the only Democrat in a position of leadership or elected office to speak out against Der Oystergruppenfuhrer.

The Democrats support a Nazi for high office just as they have routinely backed Islamic-Fascist third world savages for elected office recently.

Never takes the Plantation Party all that long to break out the white hoods, brown shirts and burkhas whenever a Republican POTUS gets in the way of their perpetual government grift games.

It's not just Trump. My first POTUS election was 2004. I remember dems starting this with Bush. 08 wasn't as bad because Hope and Change. But 12 was back at it. They turned Romney into a villain.

They have already started on Vance and any republican that runs for President will be treated the same as Trump.

While Hitler did have mom issues imho, I don't think that's fair, as he didn't just depend on his mommy for his career, nor did he abuse women he dated (I'd concede he killed a lot though).

The best thing about Trump not running again is that a lot of people will eventually get tired of every GOP guy being "literally Hitler". Not all, but some.

The worst thing about Trump is that there is a zero percent chance that he doesn't try to hog the spotlight even after he is out of office. It would be better if he exited gracefully and spent his time rallying the base from Florida. That.will.not.happen.

This is why we need to just stick to our conservative principles are hard as we can. They're going to hate us regardless of who is leading us. The more conservative we govern the more we'll attract our base. You can't win over the demonic left.

I disagree, but even if true it won't necessarily lead to that figure backing him with votes in November.

I'm also a lot more optimistic about the GOP senate races overall than Rapier is, respectfully. I see it as very unlikely they win Maine, Michigan, or Ohio, though I am still concerned about NC being not in good shape. Cooper's record releasing violent felons to harm North Carolinians again will bite him imho, and it's a relatively cheap state to campaign in at the late stages. But ultimately Texas and Maine just aren't in play now for team CCP, despite the denials. Ossoff will be dragged down by Bottoms in GA, and the state-wide TDS is fading with Ratffensperger's career ending.
