I have 20 years experience reading structural and architectural design drawings, mainly as a steel detailer, but the past 3 years have been as a project manager. I have started to notice more red flags at my current company and have decided that it's probably time that I start looking around. The other steel fabricators around San Antonio don't seem to be hiring or are over an hour away, but I'm tied to the area.
Would working for a GC be a good move? I work with a lot of PMs that get burned out working for a GC.
Any other ideas of who might value my experience the most?
