Posting from a throwaway since my main account has my name on it…
I'm in tech right now, working a product role. It's a great job on paper. Fun work in a "cool" vertical, pays well enough to live comfortably here in College Station, no real complaints.
That said, I've got this entrepreneurial itch that won't go away. I want more ownership and more control over my future. When I look out 5-10 years, I just don't think staying on the same path gets me where I want to be. So I've been seriously exploring the idea of going out on my own.
I'd love to connect with anyone around town who's building something (or has built something). Doesn't matter the industry, I'm curious about everything from local service businesses to franchises to SaaS. If you're up for grabbing a coffee or a beer, I'd really like to hear your story: what's been tough, what's been rewarding, and anything you'd be willing to share.
In the meantime, I'm looking for part-time or remote work on a flexible schedule. Anything that can keep some income coming in while giving me space to build my own thing. Ideally that could mean helping out a local entrepreneur short-term while I learn, but I'm also open to taking on remote/freelance work more generally.
For background, I'm an Aggie with a business degree and a generalist/ops/product background across a very wide mix of industries. Happy to share more over a drink!
