Persona 3 Reload: $31.49 (55%)
Persona 4 Golden: $9.99 (50%)
Octopath II: $29.99 (50%)
Battlefront II Celebration Edition: $3.99 (90%)
Visions of Mana: $35.99 (40%)

The older Civ games, Final Fantasy games and South Park are all up cheap.

My personal favorite series of all time Legend of Heroes is up with steep discounts too.

This sale is pretty solid, I grabbed a couple of titles to enjoy with my kids:

Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy - $3.99 (90% off)
Sonic Frontiers - $17.99 (70% off)

and then for me I grabbed Expedition 33 for $44.99 which is only 10% off, can't wait to jump into this based on the TexAgs thread, I've finally burned out on Last Epoch Season 2.

I played a bit on Live Pass and it's really good but the lack of graphics power is killing me for something that pretty. I'll wait until I redo my rig to run that.

I've got one of the newer AMD 9070 XT cards and an Intel 12700 so I should be in good shape to really enjoy it.

Has anyone played Old Worlds? Sounds like it's made by some old Civ devs and looks good but not sure how it plays.

Also apparently there is a new Oregon Trail that was made recently, anyone know if it is any good?

I'm going to drink first before scan the sales. I want to make sure I'm very impactful in my purchase decisions.

Mass Effect Legendary edition is $6
XCOM 2 is $3
Disco Elysium is $4

That's my PSA. I grabbed a few cheap tower defense games and Miles Morales for $25 (as cheap as I've ever seen it). Dead Space remake was like $10.

I love the idea of Project Zomboid and own it but it's intimidating as hell because of how deep it goes. This seems a bit more easy to play?

I would say yes. I also own PZ and its a similar experience for me. This one is much more accessible.

There are traders and friendlies, a currency system, as long as you are careful you can survive.

I guess the best way to explain it is it's like a mix of Escape from Tarkov and Project Zomboid with basebuilding and its a little more forgiving.

Singleplayer for now, but if they get this thing to be co-op, look out!

A steal for $6.

Cool. I'm going to get this and sit on it for a bit. I don't play early access games because I'm anal as hell so will let it bake for a while. It will sit next to the 62 other games baking in my list.

Give it a test-drive for an hour or two. I have played about 3-4 hours unexpectedly and keep wanting to go back between grocery runs and getting the kids set up for camp next week. It's pretty fun.

You can also save/quick save so if you **** your pants too much or bite off too many zombies (a recurring issue personally for me in PZ) it's not the end of the world.

Mostly went with some indie games this go round. Thought about Cyberpunk since its at its lowest and seems to be pretty playable on Steamdeck now, but i have a backlog of AAA games i must (and want even, havent played Witcher 3 or Skyrim yet) put a dent in my backlog before another big download.

Glass Cannon is a fun kinda balatro meets worms or somesuch.
Parking Garage Rally Circuit is awesome. Sega Saturn looking graphics but mario kart style time trial fun i havent had on anything not called mario kart.
Bopl Battle - awesome chaotic platform fighter. cant wait to drive my kids nuts with that one

I got SubNautica to play on the Deck. Great purchase, have already put in more than a few hours.

Fortunately my backlog of emulation/retro games that I also play on the Deck has kept me from overspending during the Steam sales. Definitely takes effort to NOT buy a bunch of games that don't have time to play.

I finally bought Civilization 7.

So far, I haven't seen anything that makes it better than 6.

I'm learning that I'm glad I got SubNautica on my Steam Deck because it runs out of battery and forces me to stop playing. Addicting game.

Most grand strategy games nowadays aren't fleshed out for a year or more after release with DLC. It's frustrating.

Looking at Paradox. Victoria 3 has been out for years and the most recent DLC finally made it on par with Victoria 2.

I picked it up after reading this post and googling it. Seems decently fun so far. I'm slowly cranking up the difficulty as I learn the systems until I find the optimal challenge. I enjoy the RNG and story elements managing family and relations - in a game as Romulus of Rome, my brother, Remus, and my wife tried to murder me, but I caught them in the plot and confiscated all their belongings before sending them into exile. That freed me up to marry a younger noblewoman from a prominent family to produce more heirs and secure that family's support. Win win win.
Thanks and gig'em

I ended up grabbing it and tried it out some last night. Definitely struggling to manage all the resources so far but I do love the story elements, changing of rulers, succession, etc. Gonna have to read up on the basics a little more.
