I've had the Note 20 Ultra for 5 years and I was hesitant in switching to anything Samsung had to offer during that time. When they announced the fold 7, I read reviews. I decided to make the jump. I got it yesterday and it's the best cellphone I've ever used. It doesn't feel like a fold. Wanted to get other people's opinion on it. Especially for those choosing this as their first fold.

It's ridiculous they won't put headphone jacks and SD card slots on phones anymore especially these giant ones with plenty of room. I'd buy one just because of that.

Haven't seen a lot of foldable phones out in the wild - I'm under the impression that screen will deteriorate with the opening and closing. Will be interested to hear your thoughts after several months of use!

I've had folds for years. They are fantastic in general especially if over 45 and usually needing reading glasses to see cell phone text.

They are very fragile though and most of mine rarely last much over 12 months so I would advise getting the insurance on them. I've had normal damage like cracks on the front screen from drops but the fold part of the inner screens starts to bubble and eventually fails for me.

Currently have a Fold 4-- 2nd or 3rd one I think with the replacement plan.

No issues with battery life so far.

Having a visible crease develop on the fold is a deal breaker for me.

I had the same sentiment. I read reviews prior to buying it and they all said that this fold was a total upgrade to that pain point. I know that I've only had this for 3 days but it's not noticeable at all.

I cannot see the crease when the screen is on, only when it is off.

I have had the pixel fold and now pixel 9 fold the crease literally disappears after you start using it. I only see it now when someone mentions it and I look for it. I prefer the Samsung one UI version of android but previous folds outside screen was too narrow for me. Now I am thinking of jumping back to Samsung

I had the 4 and loved it.....aside from my multiple trips to the galleria for repairs for the screen. I have been a note guy since the note 2 but I fell in love with the big screen for content. I moved back to the ultra when I got fed up with the 45 minute drive to the galleria and have loved it....... then I walked into best buy yesterday and saw the fold 7.... holy hell. I couldn't get over how thin it was and like a recovering coke addict who stumbled upon a mountain of blow, i relapsed. Ordered the fold 7 last night and it will be here tomorrow..... with samsung care insurance lol
