Curious if anyone has found a good/uncomplicated way to convert PDFs to another platform to meet accessibility requirements. Even though the feds pushed back the deadline, my company is hellbent on making the changes now. TIA!

I doubt this fits your definition of uncomplicated, but look at https://github.com/opendataloader-project

Autotagging to Tagged PDF is still unsupported as of this time however.

what is more accessible than pdf?

if its vector or text Ive used inkscape to convert them to svg or dxf, depending on what was being done with it.

embedded raster stuff is trickier

Many PDFs are just images and can't be read aloud by text to speech programs. Running OCR on them in Acrobat will make them more accessible. Of course adding OCR to the text to speech apps would alleviate that as well.

Appreciate all the feedback. I'm no expert but, as I understand it, PDFs are hard for readers to handle, especially when tables are used. Was hoping there was an easy way to convert them to something else without having to re-do all of them.
