Bought a p365x a few months ago off TexAgs. It has quickly become my favorite daily carry. I want to put a red dot on it but really don't have a lot of expertise with red dots. I was wondering what others have put on their 365's and how well you like them. I want to keep it under $500.

Not for an EDC.

I have one on mine and am looking to replace it. I've twice now had the battery tray screw back out while shooting and had the tray, battery, and screw come out even after using blue Loctite. According to the folks at the range, it's not an uncommon problem and if that screw comes out, it's gone. It's tiny.

It's a great dot when it's working, but I wouldn't want to trust my life to something that has failed twice.

I'd recommend the Sig Romeo X Compact. It sits low enough on the slide to cowitness the iron sights (the 507K does not) so if it quits working, you can still aim.

If it's a range toy, a 507K is perfectly suitable (order some replacement screws; you'll probably need them) and, as I stated earlier, it's a great optic so long as the battery stays put. If it's your EDC, I'd go with the Sig or another that will let you cowitness the irons.

How many rounds have you put through it training? I had less than 500 rounds through mine the first time it happened.

That's to say less than 500 rounds after mounting it.

I've had thousands through mine. No issue.

Perhaps I got a lemon then.

Anyways, I just think any optic that doesn't allow for the use of iron sights as a backup is not as good of an option as one that does. My 2 cents.

I wouldn't hesitate to put a 507K on something that wasn't my EDC though.

Trijicon SRO. The larger window is worth it.

I have an osight "budget" SE. The one with the battery tray not the top wireless charger cap. It is the most budget enclosed optic out there. Got it originally as a place holder until I could get a better RMSC footprint enclosed optic for EDC...But after 500 rounds, I see no reason to change...yet... It lives on top of my S&W Shield direct mount slide.

I have a 507k2 and my wife an EPS Carry on hers.

The duracell battery life in the K2 sucks. Like a month or two. The energizer is a 6-8 month battery. I carry every day AIWB from 6 am until about 7pm on average.

I'd go holosun eps carry. Good size, no plate needed for mounting, reliable enough, less chance of belly button lint and dead skin getting places you don't want it due to the enclosed design

I've had a 507k for 3 years on my 365xl, changed the battery maybe 4 times.

I use the standalone 2 moa dot for a reticle, I noticed much lower battery life when I tried the circle dot.

I have the 365X with Holosun 507K green dot. It's my EDC and has had over 2000 rounds through it. Not a single problem so far. I don't see the problem .

My issue with the 407k and 507k is that the glass quality is crap on the few I have seen - lots of distortion around the edges, etc.

You can get the enclosed Holosun optic (one of the EPS models) which fits the same mounting footprint and it has zero distortion in the glass - with the benefit of not being an open emitter.

I have the Holosun EPS Carry on on my 365XL and love it.
