At my daughter's house in Ft Collins. It nailed a prairie dog, got hailed on, flew to their deck, and is waiting for the rain to stop. The prairie dog is "pretty messed up" according to my daughter. Juvenile golden eagle?

Used to be good at this, but I'm pretty rusty. Maybe a rough-legged hawk though? Next guess would be juvenile ferruginous or red tailed.

Golden eagles are massive. This is more in line size wise, with a hawk.
