I tend to click on just about anything MeatEater puts out that involves Texas. Especially a story about a 14lb. largemouth.

As I began reading I noticed the author's name didn't sound familiar. Clicked her profile and realized she's an Ag, currently studying wildlife management.

Thought that was pretty cool and figured the OB would appreciate it. Gig 'em, Kennedy.

So 15 or so years ago, they released a couple of share a lunker fish from the Athens hatchery into the Lake Raven at the 4 Cs campground in Davy Crockett national forest. This is more of large pond than true lake. A buddy of the game wardens was made aware of the release and caught both fish and received the share a lunker commendations - seemed pretty sketchy to me.

Same 13 + lb bass caught 3x by the same angler. That is awesome ! I would say what are the odds but I already know the answer… 100% in hindsight .
