During a trip to the range yesterday, I noticed all of my spent brass had been deformed. I don't reload but I'm concerned and ask the all knowing OB for any possible issues.
Gun - Glock 23, Gen 2. .40 SW. happened with various loads and casings. Never experienced any FTF.

Eta - I did have one "light strike" that didn't discharge

Probably just the hot (soft) brass getting thrown to the ground or hitting some other hard object before it cools.

I see this fairly often as well, unless they are really bad they reload just fine after running through a sizing die.

I thought that at first. But, these two never hit the floor. They ejected and bounced of the partition and landed on my towel.

And, every single casing I looked at, the dents where almost identical. I find it hard to believe that every casing landed mouth first on the floor,

How many rounds on this pistol? I'm leaning towards a worn ejector if it's a lot. But I'd probably tear it down and take a peek at things and see if anything is amiss.

Does all ammo behave the same….light loads, heavy loads, etc??

I know my SA Glock, Sig , etc all have various degrees of misshaping of ejected brass so, regardless, if it's ejecting and functioning reliably, I would likely not chase it very far.

I have a Gen 2 Glock 22 that is one of the very first ones sold in 1990. It has always bent the brass, left a tadpole shaped primer dent and never jammed or failed. I think this is pretty common and harmless in .40 S&W Glocks.

Like Flyfisher, I bought it in 1990. Anywhere between 5-7k rounds through it.

Yesterday I shot Sellier & Bellot ball, Winchester SilverTips. and Hornady Critical Defense. All with the same results.

Not a problem to fix if you plan on reloading the brass. Just get a cheap (Lee) expanding mandrel die and the right size mandrel. It's a common problem with some firearms.

with my 45's and 9mm brass, I just run them thru a carbide sizer die and they are back to factory spec. Should be the same for your 10mm.

No issue at all, most of the time that happens as the brass deflects off of the slide in the ejection process. Can't tell you how many thousands of rounds I've reloaded that had brass that looked worse than that that aren't an issue.
