Will be down there end of next week and looking for a good guide to take me, wife and 4 young girls. Catching anything is the name of the game. Any recs?
Dean Thomas - slow ride or slow roll guide service, can't remember the business name. He's outstanding, and great with kids too. My buddy took him for a family trip with two little girls and they worked the redfish over. Or the reds worked the kids over. Hard to tell.
Our family always enjoys going flounder gigging with David Dupnik (Surrender @ Sunrise). I believe he limits the trip to 4 people now but makes exceptions. Even if the kids don't want to gig they will enjoy seeing all the aquatic life at night.
I'll be camping at Goose Island with my family of 5 (3 kids 5, 7, and 9) Tuesday to Friday. I was not planning on doing a boat trip with them due to the 5-year old, but I could be convinced otherwise. Not sure what day the OP was targeting.
2nd on Capt. Dean Thomas. Very knowledgeable, works hard to make you happy, well respected in the industry and great fun personality. Doesn't act like a no it all and just wants folks to have memorable time.
