Thermal Hunter here.

I am looking for cheap set up to be able to drive with my lights blacked out and still see the dirt road I am on while we thermal scan for pigs.

I was thinking maybe an IR light bar attached to my brush guard and some cheap helmet mounted set up literally just for seeing the road 50-75 ft in front of me.

not using it for any LARP tactical bs, just trying not to drive my truck into ditch.

Any suggestions?

Give me a holler if you're local to BCS and I can give you a demo. Username at gmail

For driving most American gen3 will be sufficient. Although dash lights and other BS light pollution in modern trucks can wash your nods out when looking through your windshield. Simple enough to make covers or throw tape over them.

Funny enough, the things that make NV good or bad for larp tactical bs tend to be important while driving too.

But good luck with your non tactical nv purchase!
