9 Hole Reviews just did a video recently where they rung steel at 1000 yards with a $1,000 AR. That's all in, both the gun and optic. PSA rifle and a primary arms 3-18.



Their discussion at the end on how wildly different the AR world is now from where it was even a decade or two ago seems relevant. People are pushing their guns harder and expecting more than we have in the past. Its fun to see.

Everyone knows that a PSA rifle will blow up in your face after few rounds

People think the same about Aero Precision! Which is kind of what I put together. Their upper and lower but with the SOLGW barrel, Faxon BCG, Magpul etc etc.

I watched the first half and it's a great video but I strongly disagree that shooting a man sized target at 1000 with a $1000 AR setup wasn't a thing 10 years ago.

The biggest change in 10 years has probably been optics and 1000 yard range availability. The rifles and ammo have been available for a long time and you don't need crazy SD bullets to accomplish this.

Long before there was PSA, we had Model1sales and those ER Shaw barrels were legit. The SWFA 10x SS has been around for some time- not exactly sure how long.
