The cows knocked that little electrical box loose from the well head. What's a better way to make it more secure. Also I don't like the loose wire on the ground. Recommendations?

You can probably bury the cable in a very shallow trench with some gravel or anything to give it a little bit of protection before covering it up.
Cows will tear up anything they can get to.
Does the black Romex looking wire go to a pressure switch or float switch?
I would get some pvc conduit and needed fittings and bury the wires first from your power pole to your control box. Then I'd make an enclosure so the cows can't get to your well head and control box.

You need about 4 16' cattle panels, and 8-12 t-posts, and build a "quickie" enclosure around that.
They will eventually rub on and tear up your fuse box and meter also. As stated, fence off the entire electrical system there and the well.
And bury the wire about 18 inches deep.
