My brother is a wildlife photography hobbyist and was getting some shots of a heron near our property in between Fredericksburg and Comfort. As he was a bald eagle decided he'd like to perch there too. Pretty cool and unexpected experience.

They decided they could share the tree after a bit.

I see them all the time on the lake at Toledo bend and every time I see one I still act like a little kid in a candy store.

Never seen one where you're at, but I could watch them and ospreys all day.

It would have been Redneck Turkey Pot Pie.

Boat racing is like a beautiful woman.......expensive, high maintenance, but well worth the fun!

There used to be a nest at the old Camp Strake. It was by the chapel at Grand Lake.

My ranch is close to the Kerr WMA on 1340 in Western Kerr County. We frequently see bald eagles feeding on road kill. Pretty common, which shocked me. I have hunted the hill country my entire life and this is the only place where they seem to be relatively common.

Great pics

We have one that has started hanging around our place near Junction the last few years.

They are very cool to see and watch.

I've turned into an avid back yard bird watcher this year.

It all started after watching two Eagles land in a nearby pine tree last summer while we were in the pool. They had a little conversation and then took off and flew right over us.

Since then, my eyes have been trained on the sky. Red tails, Juvenile Eagles, Cooper's hawks, Pileateed woodpecker, and a crested Caracara. They all love this big tree at the back of the property, probably because it looks over a green space/drainage waterway.

I love watching them!

Great pics!

Yesterday, I was walking to the bus stop to meet my daughter and a red tail hawk swooped within 10 feet of my head, trying to catch a meal on the other side of the road. I never saw him coming, but heard the craziest sound (like a zip line or drone) so I through my hands up and whipped around and saw it landing in the ditch. Had to have been going 100mph…. So freaking cool.

It's amazing what Eagles sound like. It's not anywhere close to hearing them in movies

Had one feeding on a dead deer beside the county road last week. The eagle flew off when I drove up and the nearby buzzards moved in. The yearling had gotten hung in the fence. I assume a neighbor dispatched it.
