I have been seeing a lot of chatter about this pill that will extend the life of dogs. LOY-002 I believe is the name. Is this legit, or snake oil click bait?

Saying it is legit, how does it work? Dumb it down a bit, but I have a BIMS degree, so not like business school dumb.

If this is legit, it would seem to only be a matter of time before they figured it out for people. The ramifications of that are mind blowing.

I am inclined to say snake oil, until proven otherwise.

It look like they are focusing on extending the lifespan of larger dogs (50 - 69+ lbs). From a quick look it appears that it might give your mastiff a few more months or years, but it is not intended to be used for smaller breeds.

If it slightly extends lifespan but improves overall quality of life as the dogs age, it might be worthwhile.

pretty sure it will be like how joe rogan described those bigger ween pills they sell.......if it really worked then every guy in the world would be pushing it down the street in a wheel barrow.

hopefully its not a gimmick and we will see a ton of old dogs in the future!!

I will say, there are all kinds of bioregulators, peptides, and therapies that can be used to aid/increase human longevity (whether approved by the FDA or not), so I don't see why the same things can't be true for dogs.

I've heard of at least one person that injects his dogs with human testosterone (like you would with TRT) and it has seriously helped both dogs as they age.

FYI, if something really works... Veterinary Clinics will be stocking it. We have plenty of clients who have brought in over the counter products that don't work and seek our help.
