I bought this old saddle recently in pieces that is being put back together. Anyone familiar with who the triangle brand is associated with?

I don't know the history of the brand, but from a practical standpoint, that would not be an ideal design as it would be prone to "blotch" (or blister) if applied for too long due to the concentration of heat. It would require someone with experience at branding.

Just found out it was the registered brand for the McGill brothers for all their ranches south of the Nueces river. Triangle because there were three brothers. Thanks.

A lot of Brands people have on their gates/trucks etc wouldn't be practical as an actual Brand on cattle.

Some are just comical.
