There is a newborn fawn deep in our garage. Our garage has been open for a total of 2 minutes today which makes me think that it's been in our garage for a while, 2 days ago I was mowing and a doe was hanging around so I'm nervous it's been in there for a couple days.

If I pick it up will the doe abandon it? I was always told that about calves but every calf I had to handle for one reason or another never got abandoned.

Wife is home right now and doesn't see a doe hanging around.

How should I get it out OB?

Just get it outside somehow. Mom will find it.
If it can't walk, then you have a problem and should call wildlife rescue near you.

That sucker can 100% walk. Might be a little dehydrated but it can for sure walk.

Nothing exciting to report. I put it outside, walked inside for a second, came back out and it was gone and I saw a big doe in the tall grass. Glad she didn't beat my ass carrying the baby out.

I got fawns all over the place. One doe had her baby in our yard last week & they are bedding them down all along our driveway

Now I'll be checking my damn garage every night.
