COMING SOON-ish - It looks like we may be getting a Tim Hortons Coffee Shop at the old Mr. Hamburger spot on Texas Avenue in Bryan. Work is set to begin around January 1, 2026, and should be finished in the summer of 2027.

Canada's version of Dunkin' Donuts.

Like someone said in the other thread, summer '27 doesn't sound right. Reno of a structure like that should be much closer to a 6 month time frame. I bet they meant summer '26.

Timbits and honey crullers. The Canadians in my family will be happy.

Tim Hortons will be a great addition to that retail center in Bryan. Had their coffee while visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario and it was very good. Great news.

Poor location. Out of sight, out of mind. Should have tried to put it in the front on the Best Buy/B&N parking lot or on the On The Border building site, Need to capture the tens of thousands and thousands of people coming and going into and around A&M,

I've been to them a number of times and didn't feel they were anything special,

They are the Northern version of bad, cheap, fast food. I bet they don't survive more than 5 years, because their brand means little in this part of the country.

Never been to one, but they are expanding like crazy.

I went to one a couple of times in Belfast. It was about the only place open for breakfast before 8 am. The Irish are not an early people from the time I've spent there.

They got bought out like 2015 by the group that owns Burger King. So, Burger King, Popeye's, Firehouse Subs, and Tim Horton's is all one group.

Yep. Lots of Pennsylvanians here, for sure. And others, I'm sure.

It surprised me, I went with my mother in 1978, so I don't remember when they got up on the farm, but when I went in 2019 & 2023, I was shocked when I walked out of my hotel in the heart of Dublin on a Monday morning a little before 7 am and there was not a soul on the street. Zero traffic.

My relatives in Ennis said that's just the way it is there. I noticed the same in France, Belgium and Germany a couple of months ago.

My dad's parents came from Ireland, my mother came from Ireland, my whole family is/was early risers. I guess the early risers left Ireland for the US.
