Been quoted a little over $2,000 to fix 19 year old A/C unit. Anyone know of a good company to replace a 2.5 ton unit with a heat pump?
Thanks

I would recommend Steven Bobinger with Total Comfort Air. He currently maintains my home and has moved/installed units for me. Very honest and dependable. Can't recommend him enough.

I'm surprised a 19 year old unit is fixable. Mine is getting up there.
But Air Solutions (BCS Air Solutions?) was highly recommended to me.

That depends on the age of the unit.
If it's an older unit, replacing those might be kicking a very expensive can down the road.

It is awesome to see great HVAC companies mentioned.
Indicate what you purchased, how much it was, and the date. Nobody will pass judgment, and it may help someone who is not pulling down $100K a year. Transparency is the new thing!
Around 2019, a Carrier air handler and new plenum was about $3000 installed. This was for a 4.5 ton ac.
No service contracts. I did not need some tech unscrewing panels and poking around.

Has anyone bought online and then found someone to install for a set price?
