Just saw huge black cat running in the Traditions/Westwood area. Is it possible to see jaguars here in Brazos County. One Texas Wildlife website says yes and another says no. Beautiful sight though! Big head, long thick tail.

That would be cool if it were a jaguar but these things always seem to turn out to be someone's black lab that got loose.

I think black Jaguars are fairly uncommon even in places in which they're native.

The only way you'd ever see one here is if someone captured one down in Southern Mexico and turned it loose here.

No way it was a Jaguar

But do you think it could have been a Big Foot ?

Sasquatch lives off Mohawk. He still haunts that old driving range.

Mayor Gutierrez's silence on this issue speaks volumes!

I'm sure that I'm not the only resident that has noticed CS does not have a jaguar problem.

I think Jaguars went all electric for 2025.

There is a reason the streets are named Jaguar and puma over in that area.

Many years ago, there was a wildlife sanctuary or something back there that had exotic animals before the subdivision was built. I remember going to look at the animals when it was open and this was 40+ years ago. Rumor is the workers let some of the animals out when they found out they were going to be sold off and the land developed. At least this is what a very old man told me who built one of the first houses in the subdivision. Maybe it's just a rumor, but I do know at one time exotic cats were on the land where the subdivision is or very near it. More than likely and what you're probably seeing is there used to be a really large bobcat that roamed that area especially around the creek at Westwood main. Maybe some old timers older than me can recall what the animal sanctuary/ zoo place was called before the subdivision was built

That's exactly where I saw the beautiful beast. Thanks for this comment. I remember the wildlife place. The baby camel tried to eat my nephew's blond hair! Cute remembrance.
