How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have a 12 year old boy who is getting into golf and we were wondering if there was a local instructor that you would recommend. Thanks in advance!

Do you know someone who has done lessons with him? If so, how'd they like it?

Talked to Tim today, he suggested one of the other pros (Tim Willet or Nate Uber) as Tim T will be giving fewer lessons as he retires. That would allow your son to have continuity thru High School etc.

I'm fairly sure that you can get lessons at Traditions and Pebble Creek even if you're not a member. Jim Baetge (teaching pro) at Traditions is very good and both Katerina and Brett (the head pro) at Pebble Creek are very good. We used to see Jim but the drive out there is a bit much and our schedules didn't really align when my child got older. Katerina is really good with kids and I've heard really good things about Brett from adults who get lessons from him. My kid sees Brett. Both clubs also offer junior programs but I'm not sure if they're open to the public and they can sometimes be just glorified after school kids club for the very young kids. Private lessons are the way to go if they want to get good.

We are at PCCC under Coach Kat and have been for 3 years, she is amazing with the kids and a great player in her own right. Our 11yo just competed in the STPGA Championship in the Woodlands, there were 5000 kids in STPGA and they sent invites to 300 kids. PCCC and coach Kat sent 3. PCCC has a very robust kids program.

Sorry to learn Thelan is no longer taking on new students.
Nate Uber is new, so IDK.

I have seen both Tim Willett & Rick Kahlich "fix" student problems in 1-3 lessons = Wow.
My ancient lessons with Kalich got dramatic results.

Google will find all of the names above for more information.

Sometimes long lessons can get mentally overwhelming but sharing sessions with a buddy can mitigate that.
