New Amazon facility

I know that Amazon facility opened last month, but has anyone seen anything come from it rather than USPS? I was using Prime this morning and was promised two-day delivery (usually Prime in CS NEVER offers two-day delivery) and it still said it was being shipped through USPS anyway, meaning that instead of today it will get there Wednesday or Thursday depending on how much USPS wants to bungle things.

I would assume they're still ramping up (the Austin facilities deliver all the way out to Rockdale) so it would make sense that anyone within two miles of the limits of either city would see something from it, but I haven't seen any of their trucks around town, or deliveries to College Station at least.

Not sure where you live but I get two day prime consistently in south CS. In fact I ordered some stuff laying in bed last night at 10:00 and it will be delivered tomorrow. Just jumped on to order a video cable and it said "arrives with an upcoming order - Wednesday" so the robots are going to throw it in the box before it ships today I guess.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing some Prime vans cruising the neighborhood though. My USPS guy is secretly thrilled to not have to deal with as many AMZ packages....

I've personally had multiple packages delivered directly by Amazon in Bryan over the last couple weeks since the new facility opened.

Same. Even around Christmas my wait was never more than 3 days.

I live not far from Jones Crossing. I ordered something Sunday, it says shipping through USPS, and for a while it was 2-day but in recent months it's been something closer to 4 days, even well before the holidays (that was the quoted number with Prime, it would be 2 days if I used my old now-defunct Austin address but then was longer in CS). The tracking reads that arrived at 5:30 pm yesterday in Humble (Amazon facility), presumably a facility at an airport, then leaving the facility at 6:49pm, then arriving at another facility in Humble almost four hours later at 10:30, then no updates since.

It might magically be updated later today to be out for delivery. While it wasn't a Prime delivery, I remember one of the packages I got one time went to Bryan's post office, then back to north Houston again, then back to Bryan. Number one is I don't trust our local USPS to honor 2-day delivery and number two I'm wondering when Amazon's own facilities will.

EDIT: Delayed in transit, will arrive tomorrow. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.

It's estimated for five days now, which is similar to what it used to be half the time last year, with no explanation for why "Prime" takes almost a week.

USPS !!! I had an important letter and a check mailed to me early November. The check arrived after Christmas and the letter is still MIA. I do not know if Amazon is delaying USPS or it is just systematic with our postal service.

Judging by the tracking information for my packages provided by both Amazon and USPS, it seems that packages from Amazon/fulfilled by Amazon are given to USPS in Bryan by Amazon the night before they are delivered.

Things ordered through Amazon but shipped by someone else are typically provided to USPS/UPS/FedEx elsewhere and then undergo a regular delivery, including the routing problems that can occur with any one of them.

My daughter lives in Raleigh, NC and shares our Amazon account. Her address will be left as the deliverable one and I will usually see "Delivered Today" before I switch to my address
