Rigged survey. Tried typing in an answer for "other" and it wont let you proceed unless you select one of their preloaded options, that will inevitably give them the results that they were looking for, up front.

Seems the plan is to address affordable housing by adding more busses based on the questions.

I guess the thought is you can afford higher rent if you don't have a car.

Dear survey taker...please fill in a ready to use answer so the COCS can apply for millions of your Federal tax dollars and waste them on crazy projects, like more empty buses!

I distrust our government bureaucrats even more than the elected ones.

Was "other" your only selection to that question? It let me type it in but wouldn't accept the submission at the end unless I also selected an additional answer.

I thought on one I didn't have one selected, but I can't go back to check since I already finished it. I can try on my computer tmrw. I used the box at the end to more fully share my thoughts!!

The CoCS administration wants the survey to justify the decisions they (staff) have already made. With the survey they can sell it to the city council, so it must be rigged.

Yes, the only one i didn't want to select an answer for was on the public transportation one, and i filled in the "other" comment with an answer but i still had to give them a check in a box i didn't agree with.

Really bad survey to force you to give them answer you don't agree with

Tried on a different device. Sure can't type in answers unless a check box is checked! Maybe deliberate - and I can see the argument from that side based on how transportation-focused the survey is - or maybe just poor design, where they should have included "Other" as a check box, with a supplemental text box. In any case, you can utilize the final box to tell them how you really feel.

Maybe a better title would have been:

City Staff wants to spend HUD money on public transportation. Please tell us how you want us to spend your tax dollars the way we want to spend it.

Coming from a guy with over a decade of bus route design and management, cost per rider would be cheaper if we gave everyone their own personal uber.
