You can fly it as long as you put in a request with the FAA which through an app is pretty easy. We have a small field we fly for Agrilife off welborn so I have to go through the approval process.

Yeah, the range reaches out decently far for airspace restriction. I believe it's 5 miles.

If you want to fly a drone over campus you also need to ask for permission from TAMU.
