I know Austin has quite a few but we haven't been to any of them yet. Looking for $100-200 per person at the most.

Uchi is my favorite in town for quality and value. It has been a few years since we have done their Omakase but I believe it is usually in the $150 range. If you ever want to try a bunch of different small plates their daily happy hour is tough to beat. That's what we typically do.

Sushi by Scratch is the best I've had in the area. We did the location at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort and really enjoyed it. Website says it's $165 but once you add in drinks and tip we were well beyond that. Looks like the downtown location is $195. That said it's worth every penny for the food and experience.

I haven't been personally but my boss went to Tatsumi for their Omakase a few weeks ago and said it was very good. No idea on cost but he's pretty picky on pricy food so I trust his judgement.

I have not been there but some friends said that Tare was a good Omakase experience. In a RANDOM location. behind Parmer Lane Tavern and next to a police station....

Did "Chef's Choice", or Omakase, at Uchico last weekend. It was fantastic as usual. Three folks, no alcohol, and with tip, around $160 per person.
