Want to have the unit in our newly purchased home service and start getting quotes for upgrading. You would think as an inspector I would have a list, but I don't.
That sounds good. I like it when the little things get done right. Have been killing myself for the last two weeks fixing through a list of the little things in this house that were done "so-so" but not to my satisfaction.. Still have a huge list to work through (and this was one fo the cleaner, if not the cleanest house, I found in our search in the Pearce area.clem93 said:

Just had my unit replaced as well as the ducts.
I received quotes from 6 companies. Only 2 companies measured my rooms for load calculation.
Samm's is TRANE dealer.
They did the little things right.
- Mastic on all duct joints and well as the boots to the ceiling.
- Blaster ball valve in the primary drain for easy air clean out
- UV protected line set insulation at the condenser unit
- Hung Rite HVAC hangar so the furnace, plenums and evap core aren't suspended by 1/4" screws
- insulated the drain line from unit to wall
- installed 2 water sensors so I don't have to replace my wood floor again (might be code req. now)
I was replacing a 20 yo unit.
