Want to have the unit in our newly purchased home service and start getting quotes for upgrading. You would think as an inspector I would have a list, but I don't.

Been using Weldon Strickland for a few years now and he's been fantastic. He lives in Royse City but has several clients he serves in the Dallas area: (972) 921-7726

B&W Services is the name of his company.

SAMM's
https://www.sammsheatingandair.com/

Just had my unit replaced as well as the ducts.

I received quotes from 6 companies. Only 2 companies measured my rooms for load calculation.

Samm's is TRANE dealer.

They did the little things right.
- Mastic on all duct joints and well as the boots to the ceiling.
- Blaster ball valve in the primary drain for easy air clean out
- UV protected line set insulation at the condenser unit
- Hung Rite HVAC hangar so the furnace, plenums and evap core aren't suspended by 1/4" screws
- insulated the drain line from unit to wall
- installed 2 water sensors so I don't have to replace my wood floor again (might be code req. now)

I was replacing a 20 yo unit.

That sounds good. I like it when the little things get done right. Have been killing myself for the last two weeks fixing through a list of the little things in this house that were done "so-so" but not to my satisfaction.. Still have a huge list to work through (and this was one fo the cleaner, if not the cleanest house, I found in our search in the Pearce area.

Will want new ductwork to replace the central lower ceiling rigid duct currently in use. As well as additional returns. Seller also sealed the attic with foam since the ac had been replaced. I plan to add solar screens (ASAP) and shutters to the four completely exposed west facing windows (they removed the trees years ago because they were told they would eventually harm the foundation. So the system really needs to be completely respeced.

Our AC was all under our house and recently had everything moved to the attic...we had several companies quote us $12k+ and then got referred to Jimmy Ulloa by our handyman. Jimmy did it for almost a third of what everyone else quoted and didn't up charge us for parts. He brought the receipts for all parts and we paid him exactly what he paid. Highly recommend

I cant recommend the Cold Truth enough. Someone in my office passed them along to me and I have referred them to a few others and everyone has been happy.

Triple A A/C is a great company. Keith Neff is the owner (grew up in the business his father started), and his son Dustin works in the business and is an A&M Grad. They are honest and do good work.
