I would like to watch the fireworks but hate the traffic. Does anyone have some cheats or strategy they've used to get a good view of the fireworks but no be stuck in traffic for hours?

Any other small towns in the area with fireworks shows would be an acceptable alternative.

Sachse does their fireworks show tonight, and I found that parking south of the area (next to the hospital) makes for a easy in/easy out solution along GBT.

Ever since they moved Plano's from High Point Park to Oak Point 20+ years ago, I don't have any cheats. Oak Point is too low so you have to get kind of close

I'm too late with this advice for this year, but when we are in town for the 4th (it's our beach week most years), we go to the RoughRiders game for their show. Get to see a ballgame, they let you into the outfield to watch from the field, it's a solid show, then if you parked at the mall, it's easy out. This year's show was tonight tho (which we did attend); they are out of town the rest of the weekend. It's got a very cool old school Sandlot feel - they play some of it on the jumbotron while people filter down to the field.

Late to this, but we found a decent spot. The businesses between Legacy and Spring Creek on 75 (SB side) have a massive parking lot. It's the lot that has the Samsung in it flanked by I think 2 apartment complexes.

Lot was maybe 1/4 full and we got to see all of the fireworks. Leaving the lot wasn't an issue. We live closer to Custer and Parker and it took me about 8 minutes to get home.
