Why not analog for yardwork and deer lease?

Get a G-shock (or maybe Garmin-type), and go on about your business.

Yes, I would go Garmin if he wants a >$500 beater with functionality relevant as a work watch, if you will. Check out the Garmin fenix 8 Pro with satellite connectivity and it even has a flashlight which I would love to have on mine - https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/1703902/

This is my everyday beater, and I love it.

Go to a local watch store and look for a Seiko. Not a big box store (like Dillards or Nordstrom)

Local store near me will take off $80-$100 on Seiko's all day every day. Citizen too.

The Seiko I bought for my son IIRC was $550 retail and he sold it to me for $460.

Just bought my wife this watch for the upcoming wedding. Her old Seiko gold watch died and a new battery didn't fix it and the store said it would cost $50+ to fix it. It wasn't that much when I bought it for her 20+ years ago.

I just said "how much is that one" as she was trying it on and they guy said "It lists for $575 but I can do $450". She wanted a gold watch to wear to match her dress for the wedding, and also a new nicer watch to wear so I bought it for her. Then the Ags beat ND and she was in a great mood that evening!

Rado is my watch of choice but I found a relatively good looking inexpensive watch a couple of years ago and they are all $100 - $200 (they always offer coupons in various magazines).

They have what i think is some pretty good looking watches as well. They are branded "Daniel Steiger" and the website it Timepieces International.

I'm leaning towards the model 1 plum fume.
I have a choice of movement.
Hand wound $3899
Le jour perret g101 $4339
Decorated le jour perret 101 $4793.

I'm thinking about saving a few $ and getting hand wound. I figure, this watch will not be a daily wear, I will end up having to wind it and set the time anyway. Negates the need for automatic.

If it was y'all's buildslot, what would choose?
