Time for me to find a new one. I was using an accountant in my hometown who was great, but he is getting close to retirement. Time for me to find someone in Houston.

Looking for recommendations.

Overview for 2024 filing (extension was filed):
1099 Consultant - S Corp
Two K-1s

2025 Filing:
W2 Employment
Three K-1s
The LLC will be dormant for 2025, but will keep it open

Nothing overly complex.

Appreciate the recommendations.

We could be a good fit for you if you're interested in a more "Holistic" offering. We manage investments and taxes under one roof.

I know it's not exactly what you're asking for, but thought I'd put a plug for us here just in case you're interested in our full service offering.

I have pretty much something similar with a few other things and just do it myself with Turbo Tax. Pretty straightforward.

We looked for someone that does more than anything H&R block but below that of a multi-million self employed business with multiple investments. The price point was too high for our liking.

I didn't think Turbo tax could handle K1s? Maybe that has changed.

I've used Petry Law Firm firm the last few years and our experience has been positive.

Turbo tax can do K1s.

I was invested in one for a few years. Granted it was just one, but multiple. If you can read and follow instructions, it wasn't hard.

They can handle them. So can TaxAct from what I understand.

However, you still need to understand how a K1 works and affects your return to make sure it gets put on the correct line.

Last year I did my parents return. They had a K1, stock inventstments, retirement from an annuity, a W2, teacher retirement, and a small business all on a single return. Turbo Tax did it all without issue.
