Does anyone have a recommendation for a dealer that will go find the car you are looking for ? Needs to be in the Houston area. Specifically, I am looking for a 2022-2034 Porsche Macan S. Have very specific criteria. TIA. Not my first German car so I have a good idea what I am getting into in regards to associated costs and issues.

You might want to check out https://www.delivrdto.me/about-us. I've seen some of his YouTube videos and his whole business is basically tracking down specific cars for people and doing all the negotiating for you. He'll call dealers all over the country to find the exact spec you're looking for and can also handle arranging shipping.
His service costs $1k, so it may or may not be worth it depending on how hard your criteria are to find. But if this isn't something local dealers can accomplish, it could be another option to try.

Leasing companies are also not too bad for used vehicles, but you'll have to end up doing the legwork and negotiating. They tend to have a ton of cars coming off leases they need to move but when it comes to brass tacks, many would rather sell to an individual than send to auction.

Do you know anyone that used his service ? Been watching his videos and am looking at it but also wary of scams.

I don't know anyone personally who has used his service, but I watched some of his live streams when I was getting ready to buy a car and nothing really jumped out to me as overly scammy. I did see one stream where he called a dealership in Houston and connected a client with them, so at least that part seemed legitimate.

He may be a little bit busier than normal. He was featured in Saturday's Wall Street Journal

This seems like a steal to me. There isn't a lot of stuff I'd do in relation to a service like this for a mere $1,000. Seems it would take more than a cursory search over a day or two. If that's all it costs and someone has specific requirements….that seems like a good deal.

I tried to sign up with him but he is only working on new vehicles at the moment. He has suspended any deals involving used vehicles. Time for plan B since there is no way to know if or when he will open up used vehicles again. I asked to be notified when that happens. We will see if I can do it on my own or see if he becomes available.

Thanks for everyone's input.

What specific build are you looking for?

2022-2023 Porsche Macan S

Specs in no specific order
Less than 40,000 miles
Gentian Blue Metallic exterior color
18-Way leather seats
Black interior - would consider other colors other than red.
Premium Plus Package
Sports Chrono
Adaptive Cruise Control
Lane change Assist
Bose Sound System
Carbon accents on the interior
PASM Suspension
Gloss black or Gunmetal grey wheels.
Budget matches current market price for the 2022-2023 Macan S. Do not have the budget for newer model. Will not consider a base model as the 4 cylinder engine is under powered for my taste

You do have a very specific build! I had a similar list on my CTTS. I ticked most of my boxes except for color. A wrap "solved" that issue.

No PTV+ or PDLS+? Are you open to a GTS? Many of those are typically optioned higher.

I'll keep an eye out. I've been hunting FB marketplace pretty aggressively the last few months for another vehicle purchase and see lots of Macans.

If you're looking on your own, https://vinanalytics.com/ is great for getting the build sheets. Some options like ACC are easy to identify from dealer photos, but others are more of a challenge. When hunting for my CTTS, it was really valuable to figure out options from bad pictures.

Where did you get your wrap, might have to consider that route if everything else lines up.

Nationwide search through the Porsche app currently shows that none of the used 2022-2024 Macan S at Porsche dealers are both Gentian Blue and have 18-way seats. Most of them have the options you want but 14-way seats

I search the app every so often looking for a used GTS with Burmester audio, it is the one item I wish my 2021 had, but probably not worth the cost difference I would have to pay to get it.

I took a risk and did it myself over a few weeks several summers ago. All shops were quoting me $5-7k. I found a guy who wraps on FBM help me with the front bumper, but the rest of the car was relatively easy. Total cost was ~$1200 and should last 4-5 years. I own a few black cars and really hate the maintenance of black paint, but black is a great base for a wrap, and you can change the color when you get tired of it.

It is the My Porsche mobile app in the Apple App Store (Android/Google probably has it too)

Same search is also on their website:

3M 1080 Gloss Cosmic Blue with the roof/door handles/mirrors factory black. I tried to find a color close to Porsche San Marino blue.

You can buy wrap samples from Metrorestyling for ~$1 per 12x12 square. I ended up buying ~40 different colors, installing test squares on the car, and driving around in different light to figure out which was right.
