Friend bought a new Honda CRV and needs high-quality rubber mats for it. What is the automotive board's current recommendation?

I still like husky weatherbeater. Heavier, thick, and pliable.

Still don't like weathertech.

I had bought some smartliner/maxliner and I like them but like the weathertech, they TPE material turns and curls over time.

Tuxmat is what I've got. Pretty sweet.

Yeah, I'm liking my tuxmat liners in my truck. Seems to be durable and I hope will hold up with the abuse I will be putting it through.

Smartliner. Or some other knockoff from Amazon. If they curl in 3 years buy another pair with the savings from not buying name brand the first time.

+1 for another vote AGAINST WeatherTech.

I know some folks love them. I wanted to. Had them in a RAM from 2011 -- 2014. I really liked the idea of the lip that sat over the door threshold so it would drain spills and tracked in liquids, but they just curled up. Worse though aside from the drivers side having a clip, they slipped and slid around like crazy. The passenger side mat was forever curling up under the dash.

Can't speak to Husky as I've never had them. Ford has a Husky style rubber matt though that I have in my F150 that I love.

Have Husky's that came with our Ram and they're great, thick, don't curl, have taken tons of abuse and no issues. Have WeatherTech's in our Honda, they curl, thin material, and it feels like the color has faded over time. WeatherTech just doesn't seem like a great product, don't understand the love for them.

Went back to weather tech in January on the advice of our local trim shop. He said they had recommended Husky for years but the latest weather tech mats are now better. Good so far.

Husky X-act contour. The weather beaters are ok but the X-acts are made out of a rubber material that holds up a little better.

I like the Weathertech for the middle row where the kids sit. Goes all the way across, center hump keeps it in place good, hard plastic with lip catches spills. I hate the hard slippery plastic for the driver. So I have the thick, soft Husky rubber mats up front. Children are disgusting.

Husky X act in Expedition for over 5 years. Hold up great and rubber feel so not slippery
