Finally getting around to Rule 1: new to me 1971 Suburban C10. Dyers blown 489 BBC and built turbo 400.

My plans are to continue fixing it up. I've got lots of projects planned: sound deadening, headliner, better stereo and sound, quieter exhaust, 3rd row seating, rear HVAC.

I don't want to keep the 489/turbo 400. I bought it with full intention of L8T/6L90 swap so that I can take it on short trips with my wife.

It did when I bought it. I thought it rather tacky and have since removed some of it. I was gonna change it to say "Blown 489"

I can buy a L8T and a 6l90 for much less than that, cam, LT headers and intake and be making close to 600/600 for less money.
